Earning a major in Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures requires the study of at least one Slavic language. You also complete coursework that provides an in-depth knowledge of the region, choosing either the Russian or the Slavic track.
Our language options include Russian, Ukrainian, Czech, Polish, and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. We offer some courses on a more limited basis in Romanian and other Slavic languages. You become familiar with the literature and culture of your chosen language by working with texts in English translation.
