If you have had experience with a Slavic language and would like to take a course in that language, the first step is to take a language placement exam. Our department offers an online placement exam for Russian. You must have a registered IU account to log into the online placement exam. Please contact us with questions.
Our other language courses do not have online exams. To arrange a placement exam in one of the following languages: Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Czech, Polish, or Ukrainian, please contact the Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures department office.
