Our department offers M.A. degrees in Russian Literature, Slavic Linguistics, and Language and Area Studies, supporting work in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (BCS), Czech, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian. For students interested in continuing their research at the next level, completion of M.A. coursework typically entails admittance to the Ph.D. program.
We also offer a terminal Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree that trains graduate students to teach Russian at the secondary and postsecondary levels and prepares them to engage in second language acquisition research.
