Welcome to the exhilarating Slavic Soccer event organized by Pedram Aghaalikhani starting fall 2023, a weekly gathering that brings together faculties and students passionate about soccer and Slavic languages and culture. Every Friday evening 6:00–8:00 pm at the IU Recreational Sports Field Complex (and indoors at the SRSC in colder weather), participants come together to engage in friendly yet competitive soccer matches, creating an ideal environment for community building and camaraderie.
Slavic Soccer has successfully cultivated an atmosphere where individuals from diverse backgrounds can connect, share their love for soccer, and celebrate the rich traditions of Slavic cultures. The event has not only fostered physical activity and teamwork but also provides a platform for cultural exchange and social interactions.

In the fall of 2023, sessions were held every Friday from early September through the end of the semester and averaged about 12 players, with some seeing up to 25. The spring 2024 semester will start up indoors in the SRSC the first Friday of classes (Jan. 12, 2024).
