Slavic and International Studies undergraduate double-major Kyle Tucker has been awarded a prestigious Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship. This fellowship is designed to recruit a diverse group of recent graduates who are committed to public service and offers them the opportunity to work at leading think tanks in Washington, D.C. The fellowship was established in honor of longtime nuclear arms control activist Dr. Herbert Scoville, Jr. Kyle, who is currently completing his Russian Flagship Capstone year in Almaty, Kazakhstan, will relocate to Washington, D.C. for nine months starting in the fall to engage in research on nuclear nonproliferation and arms control issues as part of the Scoville Peace Fellowship, providing him with mentors and opportunities for further professional development as he begins a career in the peace and security policy community.
